Known more for his wit than his wisdom, Uncle Nut was a man of Tall Tales; not those he told but rather those told about him. Never a sharp dressed man, Nut endured much criticism about his attire and once at his own party, he was claled "half a man" by his wife’s bluestocking spinster Aunts. Nut stormed upstairs and returned neatly dressed in only the upper half of his Tuxedo.... From that day forward, he was never called half a man ever again. Yes, he was a real nut, and although a different kind of nutty, we’re sure he would approve of this rich, medium bodied, slightly sweet malty ale. Our English style Nut Brown Ale uses six different malts in all including Pilsner, imported crystal and roasted malts combined with imported English Northdowne, Fuggles and Goldings hops. Moderate is alcohol level, this is an easy drinking dark ale we’re sure you’ll enjoy with typical English or Irish fare of roasted meats and vegetables as well as BBQ, ribs or even desserts.
