Cimmerian is our take on a schwarzbier, which is a German-style dark lager beer. It has an opaque, black color with more subtle hints of chocolate and coffee flavors than a stout or porter. The nose is roasted malt, toasted bread, cocoa, dark malt and bitter hops. The flavor is more dry than sweet, with notes of roasted malt, bitter dark chocolate, bitter hops, bread crust, just a touch of dark fruit. It is light bodied and very quaffable, with a smooth 5% ABV finish.
