Common descriptors are
Holy Snappin’ Turtles is a wild ale. Wild in the fact that this beer has been fermented for four months in used Shiraz barrels with nothing but the bacteria living in the wood, and little bit of introduced nasty bacteria called Brettanomyces, giving the HST a sour, horsey and bready, almost sourdough like quality typically, not quite right in most beer styles. But since we love throwing caution to the wind at HopDog, you never asked for it, but you got it anyway. Brewed with ale malt, rye, wheat and German acidulated malt, this is NOT for the faint of heart, but the adventurous types. We know it’s infected, so don’t send us complaint emails, just dig it. Limited edition. Drink now, or cellar to bring out more sour! Pop the green cap!
