Drake’s interpretation of a Flanders style sour beer, aged in Chardonnay barrels from Wente in Livermore and inoculated with a blend of house souring cultures to get a mild tartness and traditional funk. The aroma of dark cherries, currants, wine and oak melts with a malt sweetness and Brett funk. On the tongue, the tartness is more apparent, hitting you first, but giving way to a pleasant malt sweetness with hints of cherry cola and Chardonnay.
