A great English beer writer, Ron Pattinson, unearthed some brewing records in Scotland of a few IPAs from centuries ago. He forwarded our Brewmaster one recipe in particular and challenged him to brew one. We brewed ours with Golden Promise barley from Scotland and East Kent Golding hops, which have a gorgeous soft, flowery character. The yeast is originally from Edinburgh and ferments clean and at cold temperatures. Enjoy this style of beer that hasn’t been brewed since the mid-1800s, that nobody knew the Scots made.
