Description: Del Fuego’s aroma has a distinctive smokiness that reminds the seasoned beer nose of a German Rauchbier (smoked beer). The source of this smokiness comes from Chipotle Meco peppers (premium-grade, smoked jalapeño peppers primarily consumed in Mexico) that were stemmed and seeded prior to use. Del Fuego starts off with dark, roasted malt notes accented by the Chipotles, and quickly displays dark fruit and heat (yes this beer is spicy and a little hot) thanks to the entire cast show; Chipotle, De Arbol, Pasilla, and Ancho peppers. The De Arbol, Pasilla, and Ancho peppers are not smoked and have a spicy, fruity and raisin-like flavors that add complexity to this brew. The Story: This is a "push the envelope" style of beer and the intent here is to give our customers something to mull over as well as to enjoy as a great complement to food. Del Fuego is a play on the word fire. The full name of this beer is Cerveza Negra del Fuego, which means Black Beer of Fire! Suggested Pairings: This beer is meant for grilled meats or anything with a kick to it. Try this with any of our select steaks, Bayou Chicken, or Fish Tacos.
