Common descriptors are
Pagan’s Pillar is a sparkling copper ale. It’s based on a vintage ale / Irish red but with more carbonation to lift the palate and give a more lively appearance, and also has a new hop to add an extra dimension to the flavour. This ale is created using a medley of malts to introduce a rich copper colour in appearance. We also use a variety of German citrus hops to create a rich orange peel character that compliments the malt perfectly. Where does the name "Pagan’s Pillar" come from? The ancient pillar of pagan kings - the "Stone of Destiny"- was said to cry out when touched by the hand of the rightful King of Tara. Celebrate the marvel and mystery of old with this smooth, full-flavoured sparkling copper ale.
