Inspired to create a hugely smooth and drinkable DIPA in early 2015, New English decided that it was finally time to tackle this tricky style, as well as remaining true to our belief in balance and drinkability. Two Legit DIPA is the result. American 2-Row barley malt provides the backbone for this 1.080 OG beer, leading to the 9.2% ABV. German Munich malt contributes a subtle copper color and adds complexity to the flavor. Flaked barley in the mash tun leads to a creamy white head and bold mouthfeel. But a Double IPA is all about the hops, and our Two Legit DIPA weighs in at 90 IBUs. With Nugget, CTZ, Simcoe® and SummitTM in the kettle and a prodigious quantity of SummitTM as the dry hop, this ale has huge flavor and aroma of citrus grapefruit and tangerine with just a hint of dankness. We hope you enjoy a balanced DIPA. Available on draft in our taproom as well as in 12oz bottles in six-packs.
