In 2012 Edvard was challenged to brew something strong and dark. He took on this challenge and brewed an enormous imperial stout using 25% dark malt and 30% rye to be further aged on Armagnac barrels. The result was so luxurious that we simply had to brew it again! This 2016 edition of Dragonwort is the outstanding result of 48 hours of brewing, one kilo of malt per liter, and one year of maturation in bourbon barrels. Here at Nøgne Ø, we have a passion for bold and decadent stouts and this is certainly no exception!
