It is the inspiration of Todd Ashman, former Brewmaster of Flossmoor Station Brewing Co., Chicago IL. His recipe stands with 4 GABF medals and two World Beer Cup awards. It is very unique because it has characteristics of both a Scottish ale and a porter. Either way, this is full-bodied and robust with notes of honey, caramel, and roasted oats. It’s great on its own and makes a terrific dessert beer.
