Common descriptors are The English invented the India Pale Ale (IPA) style as a hoppy, higher alcohol beer meant to withstand the long journey to the colonies in India in the days before refrigeration. For this beer, we wondered what would've happened if the Germans had colonized India instead. They would have made this style as a lager, rather than an ale, and of course they would have used German Pilsner malt. We added three German hop varities in the kettle and also dry-hopped it. Very unique! ABV= 7.7% IBU's=90 |
