Prior to 2000, Shepherd Neame added a different ingredient each year. 1999 had almonds, 1998 had cherry brandy and 1997 had cinnamon. In 2000 and 2001 the beer was 6.7%, but had no additional ingredients. From 2002 the abv dropped to 6.1%.
