Full-bodied, Belgian style ale with a complex, rich malt flavor, highlights of plums, raisins and berries and a low hop bitterness to accentuate the authentic Trappist yeast. Traditionally a trappist ale, "abbey dubbels" are naturally named for the monks who created them. While Natty was a Quaker we felt there was enough room for another Saint in brewing history.
