Sweetwater Pale Ale is brewed exclusively for the restaurants owned by Great American Restaurants; Carlyle Grand Cafe, Artie's, Mike's American and Silverado. The recipe and techniques were developed by Nick Funnell, the Brewmaster, who makes the same beer at the Sweet Water Taverns. The beer is dry hopped in a second fermenter with whole leaf English Kent Goldings and Cascade hops. This fine pale ale is a deep amber color with a wonderful blend of the earthly Goldings and the citric accentuated Cascade hops for a complex aromatic treat. Available on draft at Old Dominion brewpub and in the Great American Restaurants. Bottles are planned for June 1999.
