Traditional artisanal farmhouse ale from Northern France brewed in early spring for enjoyment in the warmer weather. The name literally translates to "beer which has been kept or lagered". Our version was brewed with English pale malt, German pils, munich and a touch of carafa and flaked barley. The hop used was American Saaz for a light spicy note. The yeast strain used to ferment the bier is our house Kolsch ale strain and it was brewed in the early part of March. The accent is on malt sweetness.
