pre-prohibition

A throwback to the days before American prohibition, when the most popular style of beer in the country was pale lager sometimes made with corn. Many modern breweries have set out to recreate these barley and corn lagers in a way different from the mass-produced, streamlined brewing that takes place at larger macrobreweries.
