I can’t help being a Cheap Beer Connoisseur! Well actually, I have been branching out lately, so I’m not that much of a dirtball. I think beer should be easy & fun to enjoy while not busting your wallet! Here’s how I classify my ratings: 0.5 - 0.9 = Pathetic pee water. Avoid. 1.0 - 1.9 = Just barely tolerable. Crap you wouldn’t spend your own money on. 2.0 - 2.9 = Average serviceable beer. Nothing groundbreaking, but steady. 3.0 - 3.9 = Above-average brew you would seek out & buy again. Very satisfying. 4.0 - 5.0 = Superior. Must-try stuff. Bring some home to mom & dad. Enjoy! *NOTE* An average acceptable/drinkable rating for malt liquor is probably about 1.5. You know what you’re getting into when you reach for the malt, so a range of 1.0 - 1.9 for malt liquor is relatively similar to an average rating between 2.0 - 2.9 for "normal" brews.
