I enjoy many different styles of beer, but tend toward hoppier and darker beers. I enjoy a good hop bomb in addition to well crafted porters, stouts, and sours. I’ve traveled a lot domestically for work and try my best to squeeze in a brewery or two when I have the opportunity. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Russian River, Lagunitas, Moylans, Avery, Great Divide, Dark Horse, New Holland, Three Floyds, Olde Hickory, and Foothills among others. Russian River was tough to beat. I remember going there and ordering a sampler that had 17 of 18 slots filled with some of the best beer on the planet. I also enjoy going to beer festivals where you get the opportunity to try many small batch beers made just for the festival, including lots of barrel-aged offerings these days. I highly recommend attending the Michigan Brewers Guild seasonal events if you get the chance. Cheers!
