Beer is a very good thing. I love most all ’styles’ and brands, but very much dislike a beer that tries to be more than it should. In other words, a good cold Bud is better than some beer that shoots for the stars, yet fails miserably. I want my beer to taste like beer and not fruit or coffee or spice. And by the same token, I don’t like a beer that is overly yeasty in character. My favorite brews include Orval Trappist, Guinness, Anchor, Pils Urquell, Thomas Hardy’s Ale.
