American mass-market beer.
If that's all you know of beer, it can only get better
by stretching your horizons, right?
More personally, I like a good blend of
malt as much as any beer lover, but what the brewmaster does with
the hops in the brew is what really gets my attention.
Compared to most of the contributors to Ratebeer.com, I grade more severely,
as I have yet to find a "5.0" brew. If I rate a beer as high as 3.0, I think it's really good - 3.5 begins the realm of "excellent"
in my system of rating, so my overall ratings aren't as low as one might think, compared to other reviewers. But if I rate a beer below about
1.3, I mean exactly what it looks like. Prosit!
