I consider myself something of a beer neophyte, and I’m still finding out exactly where my tastes lie.
Early in my life, I quickly discovered I was not a fan of most macro beer. Budweiser, Miller, et al did absolutely nothing for me, and Labbatt’s seemed merely tolerable. I tried Guinness once and was repulsed, I tried it a second time and found it pleasant, I tried it a third and loved it.
The second beer that made a distinct impression on me was Blue Moon. The third was a vanilla porter from one of the local microbreweries.
Those three pretty much inform my tastes. It’s hard for me to say what my favorite style is because there is still much beer I’ve yet to try, but I’ve had a very good luck with porters and stouts, so I’ll go with that.
When I’m not enjoying the occasional quaff at a favorite watering hole I run a little computer company called C! Tech Solutions (http://www.ctechsinc.com).
