COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beau’s flagship offering is Lug Tread Lagered Ale, named after the tire treads of a small tractor, a true symbol of Eastern Ontario. Golden-hued, crisp and finely balanced, Lug Tread is a tribute to “Kölsch” the classic beer of Cologne, Germany. Lug Tread is top fermented (like an ale) and then cold aged, or “lagered”, for a lengthy period. This gives it some light ale notes, complemented by a lager-like crispness.

On tap at Bar Hop King Street TO. Clear gold colour lasting white head. Oddish dusty yeasty lager aroma. Lager malt in mouth it's OK. Drinkable. Very light hop on finish.

Can. Pours clear golden. Grainy malts, some honey, hint of citrus. Sweet malts. Maybe tad bit too sweet for my preference, but good beer none the less.

Can from KBL. Malty, German malt nose, lager-like, rich malt, noble hops. Oily and a bit slick, nice malt and very quaffable.

Can shared by KansaiBeerLvrs. Pours a clear gold with a nice head. Aroma of sweet biscuit malt, honey, a little cardboard or paper waft. Honey malt flavour with a bit of citrus coming through. Medium-bodied with a effervescent feel, lingering sweetness. It was a grower, easy to drink and pleasant, would be good for a few.

Best and worst at the same time... First off I have to say I absolutely love this beer ON TAP. It has a smooth, easy drinking taste similar to a mainstream lager, but finishes with slight hint of deeper spice notes and bitterness of hops. Branding was eye catching and relate-able. However, I purchased this in a can and it was a completely different experience. The taste was extremely hash and far from the enjoyable, easy drinking experience of the draft version. If you see this on tap I would highly recommend, but steer clear from the cans.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2018 If I feel like downing a lot of beer I will buy a 4 pack of this and try my luck. It has a tolerable taste. I wouldn’t drink this on the regular but it’s good party beer if you wanna get smashed

The bones of a Kolsch with some more prominent ale characteristics. Sweet pilsner-like malt, grain, honey and splashes of citrus and field berries. Crisp, clean and balanced

I was very pleasantly surprised by this, my second kick-at-the-can with Beau's Brewery. Like its predecessor, it was from the Autumn 2017 boxed set (but for some odd reason, Sergeant Stripes Export Stout wasn't listed here), and I really enjoyed it--thus I'm not that upset that it's also included in their Winter 2018 pack lol--I'd rate it a low A.

Pours a clear straw with a nice, resilient white head. Taste is fruity, sweet, fieldberries, fresh maize. Light, crip herbal hopping, lingering herbal notes. Medium bodied, good carbonation.
