UPDATED: JUL 25, 2018 Bottle. Aroma- caramel, biscuit, some delicate red fruits, maybe even some coffee. Brown, clear, with a low, but long-lasting beige head. Taste- caramel with dried fruits, with some nuts and biscuit maltiness. Semi-sweet, quite intensive and well-balanced. Medium-low-bodied, with a low carbonation. No bitterness. Stylish, very pleasant beer.

330ml bottle (7.4%) at home on 24/25 Jul 2018, from Sainsbury's, Prestwick (bb 31 Jul 2019): sweet malty aroma, chestnut brown, good beige head, sweet malty, toffee flavour, syrupy, very sweet.

Pours a mahogany color. Two fingers cream colored head. Reduces to fingernail, but had good retention with it and good lacing.

Aroma is malty. Cherry, lots of cherry. Toasted bread crust. Toffee.

Taste is caramel. Malty sweet. Touch of cherry pit.

Mouthfeel is medium heavy. Barely any alcohol. Quite tasty.

Overall, it’s quite good. I would recommend it and I would buy it again.

Pours a clear, very deep red with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and has caramel, raisin, bread, nuts, toasted malt, and a little alcohol. Its good, but it isn't very strong. Sipping provides a sharp sweet burst up front. I find a heavy combination of caramel and raisin standing tall among the flavors, while underneath there is brown sugar, toasted malt, nuts, peat, and molasses. The caramel and raisin are a constant throughout the sip and extend into a lingering aftertaste. Medium bodied and chewy in texture. This is a good malty change of pace from the abundance of IPAs that are so common right now.

Bit wooden aroma with some notes of caramel, dried fruitness, toffee cake. Dark maltiness in the back with its ashy hint. Dark ruby in the glass with a frothy head. Taste is semi sweet with signs of raisins, some creamy touches of malty base, toffee, bread and red ripe fruitiness with wood-like finish. Rich, smooth and creamy. Very nice I was positively surprised.

330 ml bottle pours with a burgundy body and a thin off white head. Aroma taste of brown bread, brown sugar, raisins and a touch of port. Medium bodied. Sweet body, with a chocolatey finish. Nice.
