COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Made in the tradition of artisan brewers, Sans Culottes is a blonde beer sur lie. Probably the best bière de garde for the uninitiated to start with. Packed in a 75 cls bottle with a wired-down cork, Sans Culottes sports a brilliantly eye-catching label showing a revolutionary soldier proudly wearing his pantalons, having wisely forsaken his culottes for the coming struggle.

Poured at Shelton Festival, clear gold with small white head. The aroma oak, funk, yeast, earth. Medium body, floral, earth, light dry finish, good.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy gold colour lasting white head. Some yeast character on aroma, still quite fresh tasting even though I bought it some months ago. Some spicy hop on the finish. A little earthy. Carbonation is still good. Yes a little agricultural but otherwise fine

Traditional French ale, clear and shiny. Golden malts, developed honey like sweetness, light alcohol, mostly hopless. Nice balanced bitterness though. Pretty nice beer, traditional but satisfying and well made. Horrible horrible label and name though... Or am I missing a reference? (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Bottle @ Jesperhus Camping. Pours pale golden with a huge white head. Aroma of light malt, light yeast, honey like sweetness, hay, mild notes of sweet fruit, peach and apricot. Flavor is rather sweet, malt, light yeasty, sweet parfumelike notes, honey, sweet fruit, light alcohol. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. 221016

Thanks Kapusil!! Kinda hazy big head dissipates quickly. Kinda sweet almond and fruit. Palate is nice though a bit mild. Some tang at first that melts into a slightly honey sappy sweet brew. Still a n00b when it comes to the style bit this along with 3Monts are both nice examples.

0.75l bottle. Slightly hazy golden body, quickly collapsing white head. Aroma of bread, apricot, orange zest and some metal. Taste of bread, apricot, grains, orange and floral hops. Fairly sweet beer. I like it.
