Mash malt vibe like the booze got lost in a potato batch. Mahogany pour with ok head. Tangy finish. Bottle. swesson (475) - Highlands Ranch, Colorado, USA - AUG 12, 2017
From a bottle. Pours a dark, ruddy amber and makes a medium white head. Aroma of lightly roasted malt barley, and some nuttiness. Tastes of fresh grain, sweet malts, and hazelnuts. Just wonderful example of the style.

Draft @ Thunder & Buttons (Old Colorado City). Faint aroma of sweet malt. Dark amber color with light beige head that dissipates. Good malty flavor, but not a lot of complexity. Appropriate slightly heavy body. Overall a good beer, but could use a little more complexity. Skinnyviking (9767) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 28, 2016
Sample. High creamy lasting white head. Clear brown body. Sweet berries, solid malt caramel, little hops aroma and flavor, low carbonation, long finish. edgallow (4640) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 27, 2016

Aroma: Intense sweet caramel and nuttiness. No citrus hop aroma detectable from aroma.
Appearance: Rich brown color, not hazy or cloudy, medium head retention. Nice clarity.
Taste: Medium sweet flavor, no hop bitterness or sourness detectable.
Palate: Average to lively carbonation, medium body, abrupt finish. Finishes clean with fresh with one sip asking for another!
Overall: I’ve always enjoyed this beer. Darker in color and appearance than flavor, I’m always surprised with how easy it drinks compared to how dark it is. Well executed and enjoyable. Laughing Lab is not going to challenge your palate and that is OK with me. Great option for someone looking to enjoy multiple beers without being overwhelmed or fatigued. Great dark amber color. Nose has plenty of caramel but the taste lacks that flavor. Pick up a light bitter flavor. adamjmryan (4) - - JAN 28, 2016 does not count
Has a slightly hazy reddish/brown color. Aroma is malty and sweet. Lots of malt flavor with caramel notes and a good amount of sweetness. A well balanced beer with some nuttiness and a hint of bitterness on the finish. No flavors come across as too intense which makes this a good session beer. sengeb (4) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JAN 28, 2016 does not count
A: Fainter than I would like, but plenty of nutty, chocolate notes
A: Clear, nut brown, amber body with a rapidly disapating head
T: Lighter bodied, malt forward, sweet chocolate, hazelnut
P: Carbonation definitely present leading to lingering bubbles on the tongue
O: Scottish Ales are not a common style so it is tough to compare, but in terms of classic style, this beer is malt forward, low hop presence and slightly sweet. It just doesn’t have the clean finish or balance that leaves me wanting more.
