COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the famous Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, our award-winning rendition of the Imperial Stout style once made exclusively for Catherine the Great. We use three mashes to brew each batch of this beer, achieving a luscious deep dark chocolate flavor through a blend of specialty roasted malts. We brew it every year for the winter season. It is delicious when newly bottled, but also ages beautifully for years.

BineMeister25 (49) - Barcelona, SPAIN - JAN 11, 2019

BeerVegard (410) - NORWAY - DEC 30, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2018 0,35l bottle. Pours black with tan head. Strong aroma of cocoa/dark chocolate, roast and coffee. Taste is chocolate, roast and coffee, not a plethora of flavours, but the ones present are strong and well balanced. Medium body, soft carbonation.

billabobt (5) - - DEC 25, 2018 does not count
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2018 2018 release. Pours dark brown into sniffer. Moderate had at first, dissipates quickly to 3/4 of a finger. Aroma is subtle chocolate, malt, slight caramel. Taste is smooth, even light for a stout. Dark chocolate with a citrus/acidic note brightens it up. Creamy mouth feel. Slight bitterness that lingers.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2018 The Aromas, while not overly complex, are a nice balanced, Pleasant blend of cocoa, roast and dark malt. Flavors are not as balanced as the aromas. Flavors are bittersweet with sweet having the edge along with some molasses and licorice. Rose comes out more in the Finish nice rich beer.

Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, mild caramel, light vanilla and a hint of cereal/grains. Similar flavor, adding mild to moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Medium to full body with a smooth finish. A rich, dark and strong stout overall.

SONOFWODEN (99) - New York, USA - DEC 5, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2018 I got turned off Brooklyn Brewery Lager and maybe one other style, so, have not been a fan. But, yeah, this Stout is really good. Pours darn near close to black, heavy body, creamy tan 1.5'+ head, nice lacing on the glass. Classy heavy, punchy stout aroma and taste. Very nice.

Bif (2709) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - NOV 14, 2018
Pours a black color with a creamy head. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt with dash of coffee. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate, bit of vanilla and coffee. Some bitterness and a dry finish. Full body, thick and creamy with not hint of the 10% ABV. Very enjoyable

4.5
Luneylane (409) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - NOV 11, 2018
A bottle from the supermarket in the basement of Zhong Xiao Fu Xing subway station. Aroma: liquorice, rum 'n' raisin. Appearance: sump oil, in the good sense of the word; minimal tan lacing. Palate: full-bodied and oily, average carbonation, long and extremely complex finish. Taste: heavily bitter and sweet, extremely well-balanced. Port wine, the darkest of dark chocolate; very, very boozy. An outstanding beverage.
