UPDATED: DEC 30, 2018 Bottle to snifter. Aroma is hoppy with a sweet Maltiness and slight touch of alcohol. Taste is bitter with a biscuit taste. Wonderful beer that I haven’t had in years! balloonbuffoon (1097) - - DEC 24, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2018 12floz bottle, BOD 10.31.2018, $1.75 unit cost, pint glass. DIPA done right - translucent, yellow in color, and topped with a small off-white head. Nose is oily, piney, and resinous. The palate presents balance as moderate herb-pine bitterness is offset by a light honey like sweetness. Good solid beer. jhsnitz1 (435) - Central, South Carolina, USA - DEC 19, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2018 Floral hop aroma.. Complex flavor of sweet malt, hop bitterness, that is earthy and floral. zoucrew102 (2953) - - DEC 8, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2018 Bottle. Caramel malt aroma with notes of orange, pine resin and floral hop flavors. Pours clear amber colored with a large tan head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with a robust caramel hop background and orange citrus flavors. Finishes dry, but quite smooth with floral and pine resiny hop bitterness that linger a bit on the palate after each sip. Really nice IPA. ChrisOfstad (2296) - Hamar, NORWAY - DEC 1, 2018

A great Double IPA by Dogfish Head! Not as sweet or tropical as other West Coast style IPAs, but a very smooth and drinkable DIPA that doesn't overpower you with alcohol kick at the end. For it being 9.0% ABV, smooth and great feel is an understatement! agent_persik (837) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 18, 2018
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2018 Clean copper color, big beige head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops, toffee, honey, some fruity notes. Sweet taste with light sourness and bitter hoppy finish and dry bitter aftertaste. Medium body and soft carbonation. Not typical IPA, more on barley wine side, but nevertheless very good beer. boubalep (122) - - NOV 14, 2018
Very Malty and somewhat bitter IPA, hops more for bitterness than explosion of flavor. Pours copper, little head. Smell of malt, grand marnier and mélasse. Aroma malt, dark caramel, kumkwets. Palate pretty sugary, bitterness less than expected, not super aromatic.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2018 Almost too smooth of an IPA, doesn’t really taste like much of an IPA but a solid beer nonetheless. pdog555 (350) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 18, 2018
Pours a dark, clear, amber with a white head. Bits of hops settle to the bottom. Aroma of grapes and alcohol. Taste is spruce, alcohol, resin and toasted malt. Palate includes lemongrass, dark herbal notes and malt. Interesting beer, not particularly drinkable.
