Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.

Not too bad for a Mexican red ale. Good palate and a nice smooth finish. Not the top of my Irish ale beers but good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark amber / brown with off white head. Malty, caramel, biscuit, with lots of flavour. A long tine since I had this but I really enjoyed it

355ml Flasche. Klar und bernsteinfarben mit minimaler Schaumkrone. Leicht Malznoten. Leichter Körper. Etwas herb, sonst fast geschmacklos.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2018 So you want to talk to talk malt and hops and brewing technique, go to another beer. I just finished mowing the backyard on a 97 deg Texas afternoon. I want to talk cold and smooth and tasty. I pop the lid on the ice old 12 oz bottle, push in a slice of lime and slam half of it. Delicious. Mexican beers need to be consumed in the context of Mexican beers. XX Amber is one of the best ones. I’ll step off the soapbox now. 6/29/18

Bottle . Amber pour with an off- white head. I've had "real craft" amber lagers that I liked less.

12 oz bottle. Pours dark mahogany brown with a big off white head and lots of lacing. Smells of nuts and malt sweetness.Big mouthfeel with sweet notes well balanced by a drier middle and a lingering hop sour in the finish. Nicely made cerveza.

I haven't had this in a while, so reviewing on some old time memories. May have had it a few times at a Mexican restaurant as well. Reminds me a bit of Amstel Light, but stronger....so maybe Amstel? Also like Negra Modela, although I'm not sure which one is better...maybe Modela? A decent all around average beer....definitely drinkable. UPDATED ON 7/4/11- About the same as remembered. Could be my favorite Mexican beer up there with Negra Modela still. These are the ones to get when looking for economy Mexican brews.

cam0617 (147) - Colroado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 30, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2018 16oz at On the Border. Pours a hazy amber color with no head. The no almost no aroma or no flavor, not the best Mexican beer out there.
