A tribute to the highly drinkable “every day” beers from French-speaking Belgium. Contains Belgian two-row pale malt and 7% wheat. This beer is lightly filtered with an earthy, spicy hop character from imported Styrian Goldings hops and a beautiful rich creamy head from the wheat.

Malts: Two-Row Pale, White Wheat, Cara-8, Acidulated
Hops: Columbus, Styrian Goldings
Yeast: Chico
Original Gravity: 11.5 plato

12 ounce can poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear yellow with a white head of foam. Grainy and sweet taste. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Meh not a bad beer for what it is. Probably would classify this as a saison. Aroma was very light. Corn, grains and vanilla. Pour was a slightly hazy light gold with plenty of rising bubbles but just a thin white ring for a head. Taste was very light as well. Vanilla, light wheat and sweet grains. There’s a diatant saison flavor that tastes a little like saison yeast but I see that’s not what’s being used here. Maybe the “farmhouse” name is suggesting that. Light carbonation and a quick sweet finish. A little too sweet for an outdoor summer beer, but maybe an indoor air conditioning summer beer?

From Aug 2006 Poured from 12oz bottle a slightly hazy medium gold with a large head of foam that shrunk quickly but left a solid layer throughout the session. The smell is malty with good notes of earthiness. The taste has some lemony bitterness up front from the hops followed by a good sweet malt presence with some biscuit flavour. The finish is quite dry. Unusual tasting beer and I'm glad I got to try it thanks to jwc215.

Draft at Two Mile Restaurant in Wildwood Crest, NJ who by the way had a good draft beer menu if you’re in the area. This beer was on point with what I expected for a "Farmhouse". . . .good head. . .bread, a little hops, and something earthy maybe herbal in the aroma. . . taste was a sweet and a touch of sour, i.e. "farmhouse". . . .good beer that I would try again.

355ml bottle. Surprised this isn’t actually a saison. Golden pour. Aroma is bready with herbal hops, pleasant. Falvor is sweeter, herbal, very hoppy but not bitter, herbal hoppy, bit too sweet but decent.

Bottle from Total Wine in Mountain View, CA. Aroma is grassy, mild lemon, some soggy biscuits. Taste is grassy and chalky, stale biscuits. Coming from NJ and thinking they’re an underdog craft brewer, I really wanted to like this more...reminded me of some commercial brewer attempting a farmhouse. Weak and unappealing.

mansquito (7963) - Nueva York, New York, USA - APR 16, 2017
From a can: pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is hay, light grass, light farmy. Taste is lightly sweet. Low grassy bitterness. Not bad.

Clear gold body with a high carbonation. Thin white head. Nose is mildly hoppy. Flavour is equally as unexciting

12oz bottle. Month past expiration. Zesty lemon herbal aroma. A pinch oxidized. Kind of like a filtered US Wheat with some perfumey saison/belgo yeast. Not that impressive.

dredmond (179) - Long Island, New York, USA - JUL 3, 2016
Drank Fourth of July weekend 2016, from cousin in NJ, surprising achievement of flavor from the yeast and hop selection and combo, no additional flavoring ingredients apparently ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
