Great aroma. Completely drunk when I tried it, but exquisite taste. Very smooth and dark. Incredible head. I’m just using buzzwords to get to the 70 word limit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black pour with minimal dark brown head. Very prominent, authentic coffee aroma. Toffee and cocoa notes swimming in the midst of dark roasted coffee grounds. A hugely roasted malt character in the palate. A pleasant balance of bitterness keeping the recipe from being overly sweet. Lingering smoke finish. This beer does a good job balancing a variety of flavors, blending sweetness with bitterness and a wake-up call with a nightcap.

On tap at Darby’s Gastown in Vancouver. A black beer with modest tan head and a heady nose of cocoa and coffee, confirmed on the palate in spades. Basically a cocoa and coffee flavor bomb. 4

Opaque dark brown, thin brown head. Aroma is malt and looooads of coffee. Loads of coffee in the flavour too with some bitter dark chocolate and a big, dry malty profile. It's not quite as rich as like it as smooth but it's a hefty, tasty stout and very, very good.
