Our IPA recalls a time when ales shipped from England to India were highly hopped to preserve their distinct taste during the long journey. The result, quite simply a hop lover’s dream. And this classic ale adds a fruity aroma, set off by a dry malt middle, to ensure that the long hop finish is one you’ll remember.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2018 Tall boy can. Typical IPA aroma, and taste. Palate was not too complex but had a decent hop aftertaste. Good drinking beer.

From a 330ml bottle on 6/6/2018. This is an Australian 'brewed under the supervision of Goose Island' product, soI can't attest to whether it replicates the real thing. The aroma is slightly fruity and a touch minerally. The flavour presents with some biscuit malt, and a fairly indistinct fruit sweetness, which is followed by a reasonably firm, slightly herbal, slightly chemical bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A slightly rough and uninspiring IPA.

Draft at Heathrow. Clear golden color. Aroma of fruity hops and a bit of malt. Sweetish, moderately bitter, fruity, citrus, toasted malt, semi-dry. A bit mild but quite easy going.

Soft aroma of earthy sweet spruce and nuts. Extremely harmonious blend of flavors. Clean finish. I am a bit underwhelmed though. This version is made in Australia under license by Carlton United; So I'm wondering of the vagaries between the US model and this insipid IPA. Good for the kids. Introductory Pale Ale maybe.

A blueprint for the oldfashioned type of IPA, very sturdy and strong taste with a crisp clear bitter finish, but a nice classic ale.
