COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gulden Draak is a high fermentation beer with secondary fermentation. For the secondary fermentation, wine yeast is used. The white bottle, the black banner, the golden dragon and the red letters, constitute a stylish result that has no equal among the many Belgian special beers. Gulden Draak can be drunk as an aperitif or dessert, or whenever you have the time to sit back and relax. But this barley wine is also perfect with and in stews, especially the Ghent variety. It is also a plus in sauces for red meat, such as a bordelaise. It is particularly suited as a dessert beer, especially in combination with dark chocolate.

330ml bottle. Pours an unclear dark red-amber with a large, foamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves lots of chunky lace. Sweet aroma of bready malt, caramel, dates, prunes, raisins, brown sugar, Belgian yeast and light spice. Sweet flavour of bready malt, caramel, raisins, dates, prunes, brown sugar, spice, earthy hops and a hint of chocolate with a mild warming alcohol finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma fine beige media persistenza, color marrone torbido, al naso caramello rum zabaione pepe nero, in bocca è intensa malto creme caramel prugne secche spezie, corpo rotondo, alcool ben bilanciato, carbonazione leggera, molto dolce che non guasta e che contrasta l'elevato alcool, amaro moderato lungo nel finale. Una birra da sorseggiare con calma. Mi piace. 20.04.18

PREZENTACJA: mocno ucieka z butelki, brązowe, piana ogromna, opada powoli do trwałego atolu, oblepia całą ściankę od góry do dołu;
AROMAT: kwaśne wino owocowe, agrest, brzoskwinia, lekkie funky, troszkę drewna i ciemnego karmelu;
ODCZUCIE: ciało niskie, nisko (już) nasycone, drapie gardło, piecze w przełyk ;
SMAK: czekolada, toffi, w tle wytrawne czerwone wino, wyraźna czekoladowo-alkoholowa goryczka;

The Belgian palate is its trademark. Any good Belgian beer will have it or a version of it. It’s the crispy base of an Italian pizza, the punctuality of a Japanese train, or the soundtrack of a Tarantino film. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
