Harmony between taste and beauty - Dark beer is the traditional product of the Royal Brewery of Krušovice and for more than 100 years the production of this beer has not stopped. The beer has a full, sweet caramel taste and a light hop flavour. The high quality of the raw ingredients assures the excellent taste of the beer. There are several types of malt, natural spring water from the Křivoklát Wood and hops from the Žatec area.

Terrible beer. The smell is reminiscent of pondweed! Pours like a Coca-Cola with an airy head that soon vanishes. Tastes like a poor imitation of a darker lager. Shitty.

Draught at sir Tony’s Prague. A dark lager, always a nice treat for someone from the UK.

Barwa ciemno brązowa z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana dosyć obfita, drobno i średnio pęcherzykowa, beżowa, średnio trwała, ładnie zdobi szkło. W aromacie dominuje nuta ciemnych słodów-kawa i toffi, delikatna nuta diacetylu. W smaku wyczuwalna nuta kawy, goryczka minimalna, wysycenie średnie, dosyć pijalne. .

Piwo klarowne w kolorze ciemno brazowym ze zbita i konkretna drobnopecherzykowa lekko nezowa piana. W aromacie zboze, prazone slody i lekka palonosc. W smaku raczej wytrawne z wysyceniem na srednim poziomie i lekko palona goryczka. Jest troche karmelu, moze nawet jakies nuty ciemnego chleba i popiol. Piwo wodniste i lekkie, malo sie dzieje ale gardlo mozna nim przeplukac.

In the true Czech tradition of dark beers, this was everything that I expected. The beer starts with a caramelly and sweet note, going over to a more traditional hopyy bitrterness. I really liked it, but it is not as drinkable as some others.
