COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2018 This beer brings out the cherries over any potential sourness, making it a fruity beer easy to drink and maybe easy to forget

Bottle. 2016 blend. Color: Dark reddish brown, off- white head. Aroma: Moderate sweet and sour cherries. Taste: Medium sweet and light to moderate sour cherries. Very light bitterness. Notes of wood. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Medium to above medium body, below average carbonation. Although it's a bit sweet, this beer is quite nice.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2018 Flasche gekauft am Flughafen in Brüssel. Dunkles Braun, rötlicher Stich, trüb, Schaumbildung, schnell aufgelöst, gegen Licht gehalten erkennt man Kohlensäure.

2015 bottle. Pours deep ruby red, almost brownish, with a one finger thick reddish white head. Strong sweet black cherris aroma rather than plain common cherries. It's just like leaning the nose on a just opened can on homemade canned in alcohol black cherris. Taste is supersweet with just a light bit of acidity and even less bitterness in the finish. This is not "brut" at all. Nice creamy body, the strong sweetness makes this a nice sipper, almost a dessert beer to be paired with a simple ice cream. Loved this.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2018 Zajímavé pivko, pro mě toto pivo chutnalo jako kombinace pivních stylů kriek a sour red/brown.. Hodně charakteristické. Někdy dám určitě znova.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2018 Bottle 330ml at home. BBE 10 2027. From Alko. Pours deep brown reddish with pink head. Cherries, slightly sour, sweet caramel, woody notes. Medium body, average carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2018 Głęboki rubinowy kolor, piana lekko różowa, opadająca dość szybko. Aromat wiśniowy. W smaku oczywiście wiśnia ale bez chemicznego posmaku częstego w innych kriekach, przyjemna cierpka wiśnia. Poza tym nuty brettowe, może trochę beczki? Moim zdaniem najlepszy belgijski kriek.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2018 Smells and looks better than it tastes. Cooked cherry jam. Not as «brut» as I had hoped, but not way too sweet. Not as tart and refreshing I had hoped. Good match with dark chocolate. Perhaps good with chocolate dessert. Enjoy very cold or a bit warmer with dessert.
