Like traditional pale ales, Tankhouse Ale has a deep copper-red colour. We use five different malts to produce a complex malty texture. The most dominant character of our Pale Ale is the hop. The spicy Cascades is used to give an assertive hop flavour, aroma and bitterness to our ale. The result is a satisfying and complex-tasting beer. Our brewmaster developed this recipe 20 years ago and it has remained his favorite drink of choice

Orange-copper colour with a creamy off-white head. Big, rich aroma of dark fruity hops and earthy malt. Flavour is somewhat nutty and woody with an outstanding burst of fresh citric hops. A brilliantly executed example of the style.

Tastes like malt liqueur. Kind of like Old English. Enough said. Gonna move on from this one.

A little thick for me... I guess you got to be a tank house to drink sand I'm just a scronny ronny. Good if u wanna sip on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Toronto airport brewpub. Great color and head is off white and thin yet lingers. Nose is hop and medium malt. Body is usual ale dry and fullness. Malta really shine thru the hop bite and overpower it. A bit too sweet I think but would do again.

Bottle at taste, Oakville Ontario. Darrk brown with an off white head. Earthy citric aroma. Marmalade and toffee malt flavour. More like a premium bitter than an APA. Lacking zing, a bit ho-hum.

I used to quite like this beer, but I get the distinct sense that it isn’t the same beer since InBev took over. It seems much sweeter and blander than I remember. They must be up to their usual tricks of screwing with a recipe, so that it’s a more mainstream beer to compete directly with Rickards Red.

Use to be one of the few beers I could get at a lot pubs that mostly sold macro beers, however there is a lot more craft beers you can get in Toronto now today. Now the brewery was purchased by InBev. Ok beer. Good for the style of beer, malty taste, but not my favourite.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2018 Got this one through the holiday 6-pack. Discovering new beers, yet this one is plain. Tries a second time, gave it an extra 0.3.
