COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Old Chub is a Scottish style ale brewed with copious amounts of crystal and chocolate malts, and a dash of beechwood-smoked malts. While Dale's Pale Ale ("the best-tasting canned beer I've ever had," according to many brewers and beer experts) is a showcase of both hops and pale malts, Old Chub is a celebration of malts. The cola-colored beer features a dense, tawny head, a creamy mouthful and flavors of caramel, chocolate and lightly roasted malt. Complex and rich, it finishes with a whisper of smokiness that calls to mind a fine single malt scotch. Old Chub weighs in at 8 % alcohol by volume.

Barwa brunatna, piana duża. Aromat karmelowy, trochę palony, lekka wędzonka, słód kandyzowany. W smaku pumpernikiel, karmel, wędzonka, lekki rum. Fajne pifko.

heman (1420) - Tychy, POLAND - APR 5, 2018
Brunatne piwo nalewa się z bujną, lekko przybrudzoną i trwałą pianą. Aromat jest średnio-intensywny, słodowy. Gęsty karmel, nieco przypalony i cukier kandyzowany. W tle razowe pieczywo i niuanse orzechów. W tle ogniskowa wędzonka. W smaku piwo jest słodkie i pół-pełne. Karmel dominuje całość, ale pojawia się nuta ciemnego pieczywa, niuanse palone i rumowych nut cukru kandyzowanego. Goryczka jest niska ziołowa, a finisz alkoholowy.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2018 12oz can at home, pours a reddish brown. Not too strong of an aroma just small amounts of barley. The taste is some sweet caramel and barley. For being an 8% scotch ale this is very smooth. Very good beer

Satisfying. Pours dark gold, ample, slightly tan, head. Aroma is sweet cereal. Taste is brown sugar - this is where the smoke shows up - the depth and richnes of the sweet. Somehow, the sweetness is not overpowering, and it works well.

Very strong beer for my taste, nice foam and very acidic after taste not my favorite but I can deal with it I feel this is a beer you could ha e with some aged cheese (personal preference). Smell chocolaty/smokey/burn wood caramel, coffee, brown foam. Palate: bitter.
