UPDATED: JAN 13, 2019 Poured from 12 ounce glass bottle. The appearance is caramel gold with a white head. The is thin and disappears quickly. The taste is slightly bitter with floral and hops being the main flavors. This is a good sessionable beer. motthes (1247) - GERMANY - JAN 9, 2019

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2018 Birra dal colore ambrato. Schiuma fine ma poco persistente. Carbonatazione quasi piatta. Al naso note di caramello, crosta di pane e malto. Al naso si ripresentano gli stessi sentori. Nel finale rimane lievemente amara. Per me non è una lager straordinaria. Lupulus13 (195) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2018 Can at BOS. Amber with fine head. Nice hoppy aroma. Fairly decent hoppy bitterness with buzzy finish. Better than expected gusmaosamuel (0) - - DEC 21, 2018 does not count
UPDATED: DEC 21, 2018 Iron and yeast aroma with a copper tone and a firm body brings the best of what The true American lager has to offer. The American Craft beer is Before Sam and after Sam. Needs to be respected!!!

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2018 Clear deep amber colour. One-finger-tall off-white head. Nose: lovely melon-like esters, caramel, additional hops. Medium minus body. Taste: malty, light to medium sweet. The melony esters come again. Caramel. Low to light bitterness. Lacking ending bitterness. Maybe old. snowcrash000 (555) - Cologne, GERMANY - DEC 18, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2018 Pours a clear, pale golden amber coloration with a medium, frothy, lasting head. Smell is dominated by bready, caramel malt, with just the merest hint of citrus hops and honey. Taste follows the nose, with caramel, bready, grainy malts at the forefront, being back up by rather light citrus/herbal hops. Finishes more sweet than bitter, with a light metallic/medicinal note developing in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation. This would make for a rather pleasant, if not terribly exciting Lager if it wasn't for that somewhat harsh metallic/medicinal aftertaste, which is not really that bad, but a little unpleasant nonetheless. thebeerbandit (229) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2018

Nose is bready and sweet.
Taste is unbelievably crisp & bready. Sweet and full with a relatively dry finish that includes a surprisingly big dose of noble hops.
Palate is light and crisp. Perfect, supremely drinkable lager.
Overall, I keep coming back to this one expecting it to not be as good as I remembered - but it's always just so dang delicious. Hands down my favorite american lager. rja (75) - BREDA, NETHERLANDS - DEC 11, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 11, 2018 I would not walk an extra mile for it but in many restaurants with an aold-scool beer list, this is my goto beer. If I do not feel ike a Boors or a Bud, Sam adams has that extra flavour and still is very drinkeable. Nice.! MNAle (334) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 10, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2018 I've had Boston Lager plenty of times in the past, but had never reviewed it. Well, I bought the SA Winter Classics variety pack so, I decided to finally review it. Poured into a footed pilsner glass. Bready aroma with some slight spice. Tall, thick slightly off-white head above a clear golden amber beer with gobs of rising bubbles. Great looking Vienna lager, inviting presence in the glass; the slender, tapered pilsner glass shows it off very well. The creamy head leaves thick lacing as it recedes at a moderately slow pace. Mouth feel is moderate, with a nice presence on the tongue. Taste is bread / biscuit, just a bit peppery, perhaps slightly sweet, caramel: plenty of flavor in this classic. Just the right amount of hop bitterness presents in the finish and remains into the aftertaste. A true classic in craft beer.
