Deep and complex – for big and relaxing moments by the fire.

Dark-ruby colored wheat doppelbock with a creamy fine head. Strong notes of ripe bananas, raisins and plums meet liquorice and roasty aromes. Full-bodied and warming, with a well-balanced and smooth finish. The ideal companion for hearty roast meat, venison and also fruity chocolate desserts, “Kaiserschmarrn” (pancakes), “Elisenlebkuchen” (christmas cookies) or blue cheese.

Oldest wheat doppelbock of Bavaria. Since 1907. 18.5°

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy brown with a beige head. Banana, toffee and light smokiness in the nose. Malty caramel, corn syrup, banana, light grains, dried plum, resin, clove, light smoke, dough. Light to medium bitterness, dominant fruity medium to heavy sweetness, lingering umami. Full-bodied, average carbonation, long malty finish. The sweetness almost completely masks the alcohol without being all too overwhelming which is impressive, the aroma is outstanding, but on the whole this one's still a bit too syrupy especially for the warm season.

Pretty nice sipper. Nice aromas, big head off white head. Tastes sweet and little bitterness. Boozy.

This is my Everyday beer. I love it for how it taste. Also this beer is available in most Trink-Gut's and Edeka's. And also price is really nice, that's a huge plus.

Bottle. Brewed in 2013. Color: Copper, creme head. Aroma: Subtle combination of notes of wheat, yeast, red fruit, banana, caramel. Taste: Well balanced combination of wheat, dried plums, banana, yeast, roasted malt, raisins, caramel, cloves, booze and hints of cherries, spices and bubblegum. None of these are overwhelming. Very complex. Over medium body, soft carbonation. Never tasted such a well balanced and complex wheatbeer / weizenbock before. Just Great with a capital G.
