UPDATED: SEP 18, 2018 Woo Woo! 3FG, got this beer right every time. I’ve loved this beer since I can remember drinking beer in a green bottle. Then you came out with a tall can, and no more broken glass around the fire. Has a pepper bite at times but is so refreshing after a long day of work. When all else fails steamers are my beer of choice. It’s so natural and no preservatives. I feel so healthy drinking steam whistle! Woo Woo....

Thanks again to Derek for this one. Pours a clear golden with a minimal white head. The aroma is very weak, but what I find is a slight positive. Bread, grass, and some spice. The taste is dry and with a light bitterness. Flavors are mild here, which include bread, floral hops and grass, corn, and grain. The grain comes through most at the end, resulting in a short finish. Light to medium in body and kind of a coarse texture. This is definitely drinkable, but there is little else going for it.

A single tall can from Liquor Barn in Burnaby Heights. A translucent pale amber beer with plenty of white head. The nose is faint. Mildly but crisply hopped and mild malted note in the background. Not a world class lager by any means, but a great improvement over the taste of water. 2.8

Draught @ Brewery: This one pours a clear, golden yellow. There was a bit of a white head and some lacing. Decent enough nose. Some malts, earthy and grassy hops, some peppery notes. The taste is good. A touch of bitterness, some malts and earthy hops. A decent pils.

FROTHINGSLOSH (9188) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2018
Sampled on draft this beer poured a yellow gold color with a medium sized foamy white head. The aroma was buttery and lightly perfumey. The flavor was buttery and off with light floral and fruity hops. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Jasper 19/7 2018. 34,1 cl bottle on Something Else Steakhouse in Jasper. Howling Steam Whistle printed on the light green bottle. Tagline: “The Good Beer, Folks”. Pours clear yellow with small white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is of sweet malts, light smoke, light sour notes and a little saltiness. Medium carbonation. Thin, watery, lively texture. Flavor is medium sweet followed by and balanced by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Semi-dry finish. Simple bitter and refreshing. What is not to like?

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2018 A very summery beer. Light bodied, slightly grassy hoppy taste with that slight bitterness you tend to find in pilsners. I enjoy it and would definitely recommend.

strowlands8 (442) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 1, 2018
UPDATED: JUN 1, 2018 Grassy hops, some biscuit but overall quite mild. Looks refreshing. Taste is solid, can taste the hops and malts. Light bitterness and sweetness. Decent Pilsner but by no means stellar.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2018 It's definetly a pilsner. Bottle, light yellowish color. Typical lager smell. A taste that disappeared fast.

bunget (1137) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 11, 2018
Can and bottle on numerous occasions. Clear golden body, big white head with good retention and plenty of lacing. Clean, crisp aroma of grains, herbal hops, biscuit and hints of peppercorn. Taste of grains, herbs, lemon zest, grass and peppercorn. Very nice.
