Tap at Moons in Gore. Clear golden with white head. Light dry malts, soft creamy notes, a bit of fruit. Yeah, seems like a standard lager alright, though somewhat decent malts here. Medium sweet and bitter. Over light bodied.

Simple lager. Very limited aroma. No major difference from bottle or goblet glass. Very crisp. Moderate bitter hops. Nil sweet malt finishes. Clean finish, liken to a Heineken. No frills.

This used to be considered NZ's premium beer, but I have never liked it, always finding it too chemically, and if you have a session on it beware the hangover!

efeesse (845) - Braga, PORTUGAL - MAR 13, 2018
Beer with light color, light body, soft bitterness, some foam in the top, soft carbonized, (bought a 33cl bottle at FreshChoice supermarket, Te Anau, NZ #648)(#6 NZ).

330ml bottle. Pours pale. Apricot, grass, orange, little sweet, little acidity. Clean, nice balance. Not awful.

Bitterbill (2447) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - NOV 22, 2017
From Jun 2008 Purchased locally. It pours a straw gold with a large head of foam(near room temp) and some lacing. The head retention is better than I thought it would be. The smell has notes of hop bitterness and corn husks. Not particularly inviting but... The taste of the corn husk flavour is pretty strong and the hops inject some bitterness but don't add any real flavour. Light bodied and pretty well carbonated, it's not a bad tasting brew at all; it goes down easy enough and there's not much of an aftertaste so it's okay for occasional consumption.

not a big fan of steinie, i often find this beer has a bit too sugary aftertaste.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2017 One of the worst beers available in NZ. Terrible Taste, terrible fizz just a generally bad beer. Recommend avoiding.

From old tasting notes. Tawny gold color with a bubbly white head. Assertive sweet perfumy malt aroma. Tangy sweet grapefruit malt flavor upfront. Lots of grassy hops in middle. Interesting citrus finish and aftertaste.
