Brewed at De Proefbrouwerij for Musketiers.

’Troubadour’ is a deep blond beer with 6,5 % alc. and a second fermentation on the bottle. This second fermentation is responsible for the higher alcohol percentage and the further evolution of the beer in the bottle. When poured out in a suitable glass, ’Troubadour’ has a thick white tenacious head. The first contact with the tongue results in a lovely sparkling feeling. The flavour is characterised by a mild bitterness and is somewhat spicy, followed by a pleasant sweet aftertaste and dry finish. The aroma is mainly characterised by the spicy hop flavours, accompanied by a light fruity flavour. Troubadour Blond is an authentic beer, consisting of the basic elements : pilsner malt, water, hop and yeast.

Hopmaestro (1944) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAY 14, 2018
Aroma is rich with banana, yeast, sweet oranges. Taste is mild, sweet with a light citrus touch and a wee bit of almonds or marzipan if you will. Nicely balanced and a good example for the style. Tasty.

simontomlinson (860) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2018
Pure white frothy head sat on a lightly carbonated straw coloured body. Minimal floral aroma with sweet citrus. Medium bodied, sticky & effervescent in the mouth with a tingly cloying back. Heavy Belgian yeast tastes with spices, banana & citrus. Standard Belgian Blond

Pours a lively pale blonde with thick white head and good lacing. Aroma is straw, coriander, cloves, touch of banana, apricot and citrus. Taste is quite dry with sweetness and some bitterness in a thin finish with a touch of booze. Nice enough, but lacks the punch of similar Belgian blondes.

djonken (3) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2018 does not count
Bottle from Systembolaget 11/4 -18 Aroma: caramel, cereal, sweet tangerine. Pleasant. Carbonation on the high side, nice golden colour, thick stable foam and nice mouthfeel. At first met by sweet syrup or honey, but the alcohol punches through. Not what I'm looking for in a blonde, a bit crude really. At the end of the glass it was quite nice though, but more reminiscent of a sweet german pilsner.

downender (9260) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2018
Bottle from Marks and Spencer. Golden in colour, with a rocky, white, head. Aroma of sweet and yeasty stone fruits, spices and leafy hops. Flavour had more spiciness, apricot and lemon fruits, crisp malts and a lingering, bitter, finish. Enjoyable.

ardeo (699) - Flémalle, BELGIUM - MAR 15, 2018

DraftDodger (2028) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 2, 2018
Copenhagen 2/3 2018. 33 cl bottle from Ølhandleren in Hørning. A Blue shield with some kind of Mandolin on the label. And they have snack in a little reference for the Gold Medal from the World Beer Cup. Pours slightly hazy yellow with big foamy head. Settles as thin but uneven layer of foam with a lot of Lacing crawling up the side of the glass. Aroma is distinct and bitter sweet. Banana, Black pepper and a little metallic. Medium carbonation and slightly thick texture. Flavor is refreshing although a little thin. Medium sweet followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a touch of butterscotch. Lingering. Solid Belgian Blonde. Not an explosion of Aroma and Flavor. But solid.
