UPDATED: MAY 13, 2018 Cerveza curiosa.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2018 aromas of wine vinegar, cranberry, and other berry fruits. Tasting notes of cranberry, cherry, sweet berries and wine vinegar. Sour start, sweetness kicks in, and finishes a bit tart. Quickly dissipating head, slick mouthfeel and dry finish. Beautiful brown colour, medium carbonation. A nice tangy brew. Would drink again!

0,25 l bottle. Pours reddish brown with medium quickly dissipating off white head. Aroma is extremely fruity, cherries, forest fruits, a bit of caramel, a hint of alcohol, light spices, barrel and quite sour, vinous like, only way more fruity. Taste is is medium sweet, light bitter and light to medium sour. Body is medium, texture sticky and carbonation average. Finish is quite long, initial sweet and sour cherries fade away to easy mellow bitterness and a bit of tannin like tartness from barrel.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2018 Bottiglia @ Valhalla Pub, Pavia. Buon corpo e buona carbonatura.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2018 Good nose, but poor mouth. Pleasant aroma of horse sweat, fruit sweetness, and nail polish. Taste is a mixture of apple juice and wine vinegar. Also the sourness is harsh on throat.

Butelka 0,33l BB 05.01.20.

I tried the 0,33ml version. Decent but still too sweet resp. short chain sugars. I had similar experiences with Rodenbach beers. The acids (lactic) were nice but also a bit too much. The cherry esters, which are built during the 18-month fermentation, are great. The beer is overall a bit superficial. Maybe the 0,7l version is superior.

It took me a while to figure out what I was smelling, then I finally decided it was balsalmic vinegarette dressing. Definitely an unusual smell. Also kind of like champagne, especially with the taste. I really haven't had any flemish sours before so could be my first. I like the Belgian flavors in the background, with the hoppy finish and all. Wasn't really caring for it too much at first, but growing on my towards the end. Like a mix of beer, champagne, and wine. Not sure if I would try again with all the other Belgians out there, but interesting to sample.
