Bah Humbug is a 6% abv brew using not just the traditional malted barley and hops, but also a big sprinkling of cinnamon. The effect of the cinnamon is to give a spicy, almost banana-like flavour as often found on German wheat beers; and this blends with the sweet-honeyed flavours of the Maris Otter barley to create a beer with all the fruit flavours of mince pies, Christmas Pudding and Christmas cake all rolled into one.

Bottle. Red clear. Light spices on nose, fruit dry cakey, malty, caramelly. Med bodied, smooth and clean slick easy, cardemon or something similar in finish. A slightly spiced, clean, bit souless, ale. Kinda nice drinker, doesnt grab too much attention to itself.

500ml bottle. Poured a crystal clear chestnut brown colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is sweet malt, red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich malty sweet sugary fruit, light dry spicy, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Light brown colour, almost chestnut or russet. Aroma of mixed spice similar to what you get with mulled wine or as mentioned mince pies. Taste is big on cinnamon, cloves and bananas - tastes a lot like a wheat beer with some caramel and malty flavours to the mix. This is my second time trying this and it is better second time around, but nothing astounding taste wise, but it is unique I guess.

MrTipple (9999) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2017
Sweet grain and cereal malts, caramel, dark molasses, spices, cinnamon. Clear brown, medium, creamy, beige head. Medium sweet. More caramel, sweet, dark rye bread, toffee pie, sweet malts, spices, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Unspectacular, one-dimensional. Bottle from Wine Rack, Chiswick.

p0urmeac0ld0ne (791) - Merthyr Tydfil, WALES - DEC 10, 2017
Very well balanced ruby red ale, with a Christmas twist. Subtle hints of spices and other seasonal goodness. Went surprisingly well with a Thai red curry, of all things. Very flavoursome. Not bad for just over a quid in B&M bargains.

bjakk (879) - Skagafjordur, ICELAND - DEC 1, 2017
Brown, clear with yellow creamy foam. Sweet, honey, and bonbon (perubrjóstsykur) in the aroma. Sweet, fruit, honey, with strong sweet fruity hoppy aftertaste. Quite drinkable.

God engelsk strong ale, Tilpas med sødme og bitterhed. Ikke meget smag af jul.
