Bomber sample from MLCC. Was expecting more from this beer. Not as much citrus or hop flavour. Thought it was off. Too bad...had been saving this for a while

blackmetal (249) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 29, 2016
The expected bold citrus and floral taste but something kind of off in the taste, the pine is setting it off. Decent but unbalanced, like much of the Driftwood line.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2017 Orange color. Nice tropical fruit and pine aromas. Same goes for the taste and at 100 ibu’s it is very flavorful without being too bitter, very nice beer

5/V/16 - 650ml bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2016-507) Thanks to JefVerstraete for sharing the bottle!

Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit cheesy, dank, resinous. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very hoppy, fruity touch, very resinous, malty. Aftertaste: tropical fruits, pineapple, some passion fruit, very bitter resinous finish.

Light clear orange body, bubbly white head, good retention, some lacing. Aroma of resin, tropical fruit, a touch of pine, citrus. Taste is rich sweet citrus and tropical fruit, not too bitter, but flavourful. Quite tasty stuff. Nice.

Pours a nice burnt orange. Aromas of tropical fruit and resin. This is quite bitter. Resin and sweet over ripe fruit. Tasty.

ljthiessen (1510) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 27, 2016
Bottle. Cloudy orange-amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is fresh and juicy, mostly tropical fruit, hints of citrus. Taste is nicely balanced sweet and bitterness, lots of tropical fruit notes, really tasty, and hides the ABV really well.

Bottle from Kump. Many thanks! Hazy amber colour, white foam. Sweet nose of passion fruit, papaya and citrus. Bitter hoppy. Very nice Dipa.

Johnsense (1802) - - MAY 13, 2016
Golden amber pour. Good sized lasting head. Big pine resin aroma, passion fruit, grapefruit. Taste follows the aroma, pine resin up front, citrus and passion fruit, caramel malt. Juicy and better. Medium body. Eye catching bottle too!

From a bomber into a glass. Pours a golden amber, with one finger of white pillowy head. Huge citrus fruit on the nose in this one - mangoes, passion fruit, grapefruit, pine, a bit of lemon. Wow, really superb through the palate. Not overwhelming bitterness, but matching citrus up front closing with a slight bitterness on the finish. Incredibly drinkable. Really enjoyed this one.
