330ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Pitch black color. No head. Bisquits, wet socks, wooly, sweet, roast in aroma. Nice roast, nutty, spicy hops, bit ashy in taste. Soft carbonation. Nice roast in aftertaste. Nice one! Alcohol is well hidden. Stuu666 (13124) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 14, 2014

Flaske 0,33l. Gave fra fonefan. Delt med Rune under seanse hos ham 27 Nov 13. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. God sherryaroma. Lite kullsyre. Smaken sammensatt av plommer, svisker & sherry. Veldig godt integrert. Avslutter tørt. Toppøl! Hjertelig takk til Jan! GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 21, 2014

Long: Thank you Leighton for this gem. Pours inky but totally flat with no bubbles or anything. Thick, syrupy, jet black stream of liquid. Nose is quite excellent with Bells Expedition like tar, vanilla extract, flashes of dry cured black olive, melted drinking chocolate. Taste is bitter dark chocolate, again it reminds me of Bells Expedition. Rich with a mouthful of unsweetened cocoa powder. Without any bubbles to brighten the palate, the end result is quite bitter and chalky, but no paper or any other flaws.
Remedy: Carbonate that bitch
330ml bottle many thanks to fonefan for this beer gift. Shared with Finn. Coal black body with a deep ruby shade. Bubbly, low, tan-coloured head. Mild roasted, dark malts on the nose, herbal dry. Mid-sweet dark chocolate flavours joined by notes of coffee, and bittersweet dark fruits to a lingering finish. Full bodied. Strong beer with warming alcohol burning down the throat. Very nice sipper (Tromsø 27.11.2013). The_Osprey (7890) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2013
Bottle, BB yesterday (01/11/13) apparently, though I’m sure this would age well over the next few years. Pours a viscous black, never threatens even the smallest head. Smell - oil, roast, marzipan, whisky. Body is smooth and quite big, really coats the mouth. Taste is chocolate and ash, dates, salty, some astringency and bitter tannins in the finish. Quite a hoppy impy, despite the age. Alcohol well hidden. Sticky and drying. Good. I’m on a roll tonight. ansjelaah (1748) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - AUG 13, 2013

Opaque dark brown beer, residual tan head. Smooth palate with no real carbonation. Semi sweet dark malts, smooth rich coffee. Trace of red berry fruits. Semi dry smooth finish. Really well joined up!
Black as night, tan head. Malty aroma, roasted malts, caramel, lots of chocolate, coffee. Bitter flavour, coffee, roasted malts, touch of hops, molasses. Bitter finish, roasted malts, dark chocolate.
