Pours a super cloudy, milky white. The nose is clean, a bit of a yeasty, earthy note, but driven by floral, fruity esters, and a touch savory. The flavor is super dry, there is no residual sugar here, still very floral, with the same earthy yeast character, mouth-watering acid, and a faint hint of light bitterness. The body is full and creamy, with a high acid, floral, and lightly yeasty finish. Marheb (5901) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 8, 2016
Noix de coco, parfum, melon d’eau et une vive acidité lactique dans l’arrière-goût. L’alcool n’est pas timide. Jow (3982) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 30, 2016
Part of sake flight at a kickass underground Japanese spot I just discovered near my apt. very milky pour with thick looking texture. nose is coconut and melons. tastes of melon, coconut milk, starches, rice water, light florals notes. thick chewy palate. fairly delicious. Caraffel @ Hakkasan, NYC. A really light milky white cloudy thing this and it has tons of small white sediments this. Presume that’s why its called summer snow? Cloudy like you have put double cream in some water. Smells like sake alright with rice, starch, it’s kinda sugar sweet and I get some apples also. Sweet apples. Really dry-ish in the taste and unless it’s the psyche playing a trick on me there is a milky flavor as well. Coconut, rice and loaded with potato starch. Well... It’s not all that at first perhaps, but after a while it definitely grows on you. 20.06.2013 IrishBoy (4224) - Bakersfield, California, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Bottle shared by my nephew whose friends gave it as a gift and supposedly came from Japan! Nose is casabas and coconuts with the normal ricy grains I smell in sakes; translucent very pale gold; flavor very smooth with a very much white melon flavor along with some alcohol warmth; finish is very slightly sweet and alcoholly! My nephew and his wife thought it stank, but I like it’s classy style. My nephew did like the Surly Darkness sample so he does like good beer if not good sake!

I finally caught up with Kamoizumi Nigori while dining at the new japanese restaurant, Ono, in the Gansevoort Hotel, NYC. Delicious creamy mouthfeel with light sweetness. I agree with JoeT that this is one of the better nigoris, and I’ve certainly had my share of the horrible ones. A credit to the style. joet (2648) - Wilsonville, Oregon, USA - MAY 17, 2004
Lots of clustered white clouds, smell of melons, slightly tart, light effervescence, bit of diaper, DELICIOUS, only lightly sweet, great with our summer Japanese meal.
