On tap at the Beavertown Beer Extravaganza, Printworks, Canada Water Saturday 9th September 2017 in the company of John and Alan. Hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is a little piney but sticky malts also. Quite good bitterness but also sweet, pine resin, some dried fruit, it's hoppy and thick in the mouth. Good. 2010 bottle from the brewery: pours muddy and dirty brown with a thick beige head. Aroma is large: super large amounts of malts, honey, large amounts of hops. Powerful and bitter. Not boozy. Sugary without being too sweet. I can only drink small quantities but it is good.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2017 keg at the beavertown extravaganza 2017. my first time trying a barley wine. it has lots of dried fruit flavours. pours a hazy / murky brown colour which is slightly of putting. Bottle (2015 release). Dark copper pour medium off-white head. Lots of dried fruit, caramel, honey. Fairly sweet, nice carbonation, dates, raisins, figs, plums, caramel, brown sugar, toasty bread.
