September 2017 - Keg at The Rake. As 'Lost Abbey Red Poppy Ale'. Dark orange brown, translucent and still with a foamy light brown head. Aroma is cherry, meaty sugars, little papery oak, touch of balsamic. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is tart dark cherry, again a little meaty, chocolate covered berries, tart cherry flavoured biscuits. Tasty. (7-4-8-4-15=3.8) OminouSC2 (794) - Mora, SWEDEN - SEP 17, 2017

Thanks to Kraddel! 375 ml. bottle split by two. No date on the bottle. Copper toffee red amber, little tanned head. Nose is copper, herbal, low sour, toffee, malty, spices & strongly oxidized. Taste is fizzy weirdly oxidized, herbal, leaves, old bark, old cherry, low sourness. Feels past it, feels old which it might be given kraddel’s cellar. As mentioned there is no date. Still quite decent. kraddel (8575) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - SEP 12, 2017
Pours redamber, small but stable with head, little cling. Smell is fresh, malty, lactic acid and oak. Taste is tart, oak, mild fruity, lactic acid, rather thin in mouthfeel and complexity is too little for the style. Ok, but I wonder why this is rated so high when there are far better options out there.
