RateBeer.com -- Correct Flying Dog Wild Dog Heller Hound Old AleFlying Dog Wild Dog Heller Hound Old Ale

APPEARANCE: Deep copper color - like a shiny new penny. AROMA: Fruity aroma with hints of raisins, dates, figs, and caramel. TASTE: Complex fruitiness (notably brown fruits) enhanced with a malty sweetness. Subtle spicy, earthy hop notes balance the malt character. MOUTHFEEL/DRINKABILITY: Medium to heavy body that provides instant warmth and a sweet, clean finish. GOES WELL WITH: While it can be a warming, stand-alone nightcap, Old Ale compliments cinnamon desserts, bread pudding, brown fruits (raisins, figs, and the like), carrot cake, and coffee cake. NOTABLE: Living up to its name, beer can be cellared and aged for years. Hops: German Perle, Northern Brewer, Cascade Specialty Malts: 120 L Crystal, Munich, 40L Carastan
Brewer: Flying Dog Brewery
Style: Old Ale
Alcohol Content: 8.1%
Seasonal: Special
