We collaborated again with Corey Blodgett, the ex-Oregon brewer now in charge at Maritime Pacific in Seattle. Both of us were feeling like making a hoppy brew instead of the malt forward recipe from 2010, so we made a Belgian-style pale ale with tons of liberty and tettnanger hops. The beer is deep gold in color and has a big nose that oddly has dark berry aromatics underneath the huge hoppiness, finishing extra dry and chalky with some lasting bitterness.
